Aconcagua
The highest Mountain outside of the Himalayas is Cerro Aconcagua situated in the Argentinean Andes 15 kilometers from the Chile border. I climbed the Polish Glacier Traverse Route on what turned out to be a fabulous sunny day with spectacular views.
I look back upon that expedition and smile as it was the beginning of my Seven Summit Quest, and I didn't even know it at the time.
